Juvenile
Community Service Program
The Juvenile
Community Service Program (JCSP) is a collaboration with Los
Angeles Superior Court, Los Angeles Probation Department, Los
Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles Unified School
District to instill in juvenile offenders a sense of civic
responsibility and a better understanding of the consequences of
violating the law.
JSCP assists
sentencing authorities in holding juveniles accountable through
sanctions that address anti-social or criminal behavior and act
as a deterrent to recidivism. JCSP includes juvenile client
assessment, referral to an appropriate host community service
agency and follow-up for juvenile pre-delinquent, delinquent and
active gang members.
The JCSP
office operates Monday thru Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. All
juveniles referred to JSCP must be accompanied by a parent or
guardian for all transactions.
Note: All clients with scheduled court
appearances must report to the respective courtroom by 8:30 am
on the day indicated on the citation or summons, unless
otherwise instructed by court officials.
