Court Referred Service

Court Referred Service is a collaboration with LA Superior Court that matches clients to nonprofit agencies and community needs to enable them to complete their community service sentencing.  We connect clients who are convicted of an infraction, misdemeanor, or felony, to a host community service agency where they complete their sentences.  During CRS registration, clients undergo thorough assessment—to identify availability, skills, physical limitations, and interests—and are typically referred to an agency close to home or work.

Currently, there are 9 CRS offices located throughout Greater Los Angeles.  CRS offices operate Monday thru Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

If you are interested in becoming a registered host community service agency please contact Marisol Ruiz, Agency Relations Coordinator at (818) 908-5011 or mruiz@vcla.net.

Note: Clients with scheduled court appearances must report to the respective courtroom by 8:30 am on the day indicated on the citation or summons, unless otherwise instructed by court officials.
